Join Brandon of Rich Music School for this unique and high energy class that will help students create curiosity towards music and build a strong rhythmic and musical foundation. Through a mix of teacher demonstration and hands on exploration, students will learn about percussion and wind instruments, beatboxing, turntables, DJ controllers, microphones, sound effects and synthesizers. The last few minutes of each class will be free play with instruments and music! If you are sensitive to loud sounds, please bring hearing protection, this class can get loud.

In 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee an eclectic group of six mid-pubescents kids – played by a cast of adults – vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. All while candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion!

Back for a second year! The Bad Momz of Comedy is an unfiltered, laugh-out-loud stand-up showcase featuring a fearless crew of moms who say what everyone else is thinking. They’re bold, they’re hilarious, and they’re proving that moms can still be bad – bad to the funny bone. (Recommended for ages 18+. May be inappropriate for young audiences due to strong language and adult content.)

CenterFest 2026: Culture Lives Here Saturday, September 19 & Sunday, September 20, 2026 11 AM–6 PM daily Downtown Durham | Free admission CenterFest, Durham’s longest-running outdoor juried arts festival, returns September 19–20 for a weekend celebrating art, music, food, and the creative spirit of Durham. Presented by the Durham Arts Council, CenterFest brings more than 120 juried artists to downtown Durham alongside live performances, local food and drinks, hands-on activities for kids, and plenty of opportunities to shop one-of-a-kind artwork and handmade goods. New this year, the festival will feature the Threads of Community Award, recognizing artwork that explores connections between people, place, and memory. With something for every age, CenterFest is a celebration of the culture, creativity, and community that make Durham unique. Come spend the weekend downtown and experience why Culture Lives Here. Admission: Free to the public; a $5 donation is encouraged to support the Durham Arts Council’s programs and mission.

Multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter Clay Mottley brings back his sold out show to Theatre Raleigh to deliver fantastic versions of these timeless treasures. Zine Folk NC is a day-long celebration of zines, small press comics & print media coming to Raleigh, North Carolina. Zine Folk NC came about in order to meet the needs of North Carolina’s growing zine maker and independent comics community, and to promote independent voices and physical media. The event will feature two floors of exhibitor tables with NC-based zine makers and independent comic artists, a classroom with workshops on how to make and trade your own zines (full schedule coming soon), snacks and drinks available for purchase, and a live zine-reading hour. Zine Folk NC is absolutely free to attend! We do encourage visitors to bring money to purchase from our exhibitors, as well as bring your own zines to trade.

Ghost Light: Echoes of the Revolution brings the American Revolution home to our community. Through the imagined voices of real people, the play tells the story of Patriots and Loyalists, Native Americans and enslaved people, farmers, soldiers, ministers, and community leaders whose lives were caught up in the struggle for independence. The Revolution was not something that happened only at famous battlefields and in distant cities; it reached into homes, churches, farms, and communities here, where neighbors sometimes fought neighbors and ordinary people faced extraordinary choices. Ghost Light shines a light on those local lives and reminds us that the history of the American Revolution happened here, too.

Put on your favorite costume and prepare to be transported into the musical landscape of one of Broadway’s most iconic composers, Andrew Lloyd Webber. Known for his legendary works including The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, and many more, Webber’s music has captivated audiences for generations. This cabaret is a celebration of the unforgettable musicals, characters, and moments that continue to define musical theatre.

Just in time for spooky season, Bram Stoker’s classic gets a hilariously ridiculous makeover by writers Gordon Greenberg and Steve Rosen! Packed with clever wit, lightning-fast costume changes, and side-splitting twists, Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors is a madcap romp through the world of the undead—where nothing is sacred, everything is up for laughs, and the stakes (pun intended) have never been higher. This performance will run approximately 90 minutes with no intermission. ASL interpretation will be available on Saturday October 31st at the 2pm performance.
